Privacy policy
The short version: we collect what we need to run NurtureLog, we never sell it, we don't show ads, and you can take it with you or delete it whenever you like.
Who we are
Phomotech is the data controller for NurtureLog. We're based in the United Kingdom and follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Contact: nurturelog@coroutinelab.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email or sign-in ID, name, country, and the household you belong to.
- Baby details you enter: name, date of birth, birth weight and details such as feeding method.
- Logs: feeds, nappies, sleep, temperatures, medicines, growth, notes, appointments and vaccinations, with who logged them and when.
- Your own wellbeing (optional): mood check-ins, recovery details, pumping and your medicines.
- Subscription status from Google Play or the App Store. We never see your card details.
- App diagnostics: crash reports and basic usage events (which screens are opened and which features are used, never what you log), so we can fix problems and improve the app. Usage analytics is only sent if you agree, and you can change your mind in Settings → Privacy and data.
- Research sharing (off unless you opt in): anonymised data for approved health studies, only if you switch it on in Settings → Privacy and data.
- Launch list: if you sign up on this website, your email, phone type and country.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To run the app and sync it across your household: contract.
- To send reminders and alerts you've switched on: contract.
- To fix bugs and improve NurtureLog: legitimate interests for crash reports, and your consent for usage analytics.
- To email you about the launch or news: consent, which you can withdraw any time.
Health information
Baby health logs and your mood and recovery check-ins are health data, a special category under the UK GDPR. We process them only with your explicit consent, which you give when you first add them, and only to provide the features you use. Your mood check-ins are private to you; your partner sees one only if you choose to share it. We never use health data for advertising or sell it to anyone.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the people in your household and with service providers who process it for us under contract:
- Google (Firebase), for secure storage, sync and this website.
- Google Play and Apple, for payments.
- Superwall, to show the subscription screen and measure which version works best.
- PostHog (EU cloud, Germany), for usage analytics, only if you agree to share usage.
- GoDaddy, for the emails we send you, such as your launch-list welcome.
Where data is processed outside the UK, we use the protections UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep your logs while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days. Launch-list emails are deleted 6 months after launch unless you've signed up for news.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Most of this you can do yourself in Settings → Privacy and data, where you can also download all your data, or choose to keep your data on your phone only, which turns off backup and carer sync. For anything else, email nurturelog@coroutinelab.com and we'll reply within one month.
This website
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It stores one small note in your browser to remember that you've joined the launch list. See our cookie notice.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), or your local data protection authority.
